RESPONSE MESSAGE
To our beloved mentors, my fellow new doctors, our families and friends, and everyone gathered here today, good morning to you all.
First of all, congratulations to all of us!
Standing here today as newly licensed doctors feels truly fulfilling, to finally hold that long awaited license, the one that gives meaning to the “MD” after our names. It is an honor to share this special moment with all of you.
This day marks the culmination of years of hard work since we first entered medical school, especially through those grueling months of review before the board exam.
We remember the countless moments of self-doubt, and the times when giving up seemed easier than going on, the nights we sacrificed sleep, the days we missed time with family and friends, choosing instead to study and persevere. And now, after all the sleepless nights, sacrifices, and moments of uncertainty, our dream has finally become a reality. We are here today because we took that leap of faith and believed that we could do it.
To my fellow new doctors, our journey is just beginning.
As we take our next steps, may we carry not only the pride of this achievement but also the deep sense of responsibility that comes with it: to serve, to heal, and to make a difference in the lives entrusted to our care. May we be the kind of doctors who listen, who empathize, and who never forget that behind every case is a person.
May our actions always be guided by noble intentions and the desire to uphold the dignity of our profession.
And above all, may we always keep within us the same passion and purpose that first inspired us to pursue this calling.
To our families and friends, thank you for your unwavering support and love. Words are not enough to express our gratitude to all of you.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to my alma mater and to our mentors, for the education, values, and opportunities you have imparted, and for nurturing our growth.
