Dr. Rey H. de los Reyes, Dean of the School of Medicine
Dr. Abigail D.G Castro, Vice Dean of the School of Medicine
Dr. Rene Mendoza, Chief of Clinics
Dr. Joseph Baldomero, President of the Silver Jubilarians
Other members of the administration, Chairmen of the different Departments, members of the celebrating batches, fellow alumni, colleagues, guests and friends.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for putting your trust in me as the incoming President of the FEU-NRMF Medical Alumni Society. Grand reunion is a foundation of unity and the best venue for all of us to reconnect, see familiar faces, recollect past memories and relive the glory days. I had been a member of the Medical Alumni Society since 2006 and I had worked with several Presidents for the past 18 years. Each President I had worked with, had different leadership styles. My leadership style is more of democratic type, it will be ”collaborative, empowering and visionary”.
COLLABORATIVE- by reaching out to our graduates, working with FEU-NRMF administration, US alumni and other societies to make our relationship cohesive and productive. We will also connect with our graduates on how our society can help them in building their future career
EMPOWERING-by creating more local chapters for our alumni members in different provinces, just like the one started by our Past president, Dr. Rommel Duenas in Cabanatuan City. There are graduates who expressed their desire of having a local chapter in their place of practice.
VISIONARY-Let us focus on the future and be ambitious, LIBRE NAMAN ANG MANGARAP’.
We will establish a functional website where we;
- can easily locate our graduates, their line of specialization and places of practice,
- can update members of the activities of the society like medical and surgical missions, community outreach and the projects of the local chapters
- post the recognition given to graduates with exemplary achievements and the medical student assistance fund
- can update members on the benefits and privileges of alumni in good standing. Our chief of staff, Mr. Kevin Reyes is in full support to our society in getting privileges and discounts to our alumni graduates.
FOR OUR STUDENTS, I really envision
- a modern and sophisticated skills laboratory. This skills lab is the best substitute for the lack of clinical materials in the hospital. Previous batches have started helping our Institution by donating models.
- putting FEU-NRMF FIRST on the list of TOP performing school. If we work and collaborate our efforts together, this will be a reality. Our alumni graduates can be invited as reviewers for the Physician licensure examination.
I am very thankful to the past officers, current members of the BOT and Past presidents who expressed their full support to my 2 year journey as President of the Medical Alumni Society and of course most importantly the support of the administration, US alumni Society and all alumni of FEU-NRMF. I am on my retirement years soon and I really wish that with God’s Grace, I will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, visionary leader who made positive impact to our students, alumni graduates and school.
WHEN WE SING THE FEU HYMN at the end of the program, namnamin po natin ang bawat salita and for sure you will find it in your heart, the LOVE FOR OUR ALMA MATER.
Magandang Gabi po sa inyong lahat.
