Anawim Home Lights Up with Joy
After a long pause due to the pandemic, the FEU-NRMF Medical Alumni Society was thrilled to return to Anawim Home of Abandoned Elderly on September 24, 2024, for a heartwarming community outreach event. This was a day filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a renewed sense of connection with our beloved elderly residents.
The day kicked off with a series of much-needed haircuts, a simple gesture that brought smiles and a boost of confidence to our residents. Following the haircuts, a short program filled with uplifting messages and heartfelt appreciation for the residents set the tone for a day of fun and engagement. The highlight of the event was the series of games that brought out the playful spirit of our residents. Bingo, Name That Tune, Hep Hep Hooray and a lively fashion show filled the air with joyous energy. The Anawim elderly residents enthusiastically participated, demonstrating their vibrant personalities and zest for life. Seeing them so engaged and happy was truly rewarding for our team.
This successful outreach wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors and the tireless efforts of our event coordinator, One Dream Events. Their contributions were instrumental in making this day a memorable one for both the residents and our team. The Medical Alumni Society is deeply grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with the residents of Anawim Home. This event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community outreach and the joy that comes from giving back. We look forward to many more such events in the future, continuing to bring smiles and a sense of belonging to our senior citizens.
