FEU-NRMF Medical Alumni Society organizes Community Pantry for Healthcare Workers Amid the Pandemic
The FEU-NRMF Medical Alumni Society (MAS) demonstrated compassion and solidarity by organizing a community pantry for hospital staff at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative aimed to provide much-needed support to the healthcare workers and other hospital personnel who remained at the frontlines during these unprecedented times.
The pantry offered a variety of essentials, including food staples such as rice, canned goods, fresh produce, and home supplies like toiletries and cleaning materials. These items were freely available to all hospital workers, recognizing the financial and emotional burdens many faced while ensuring patient care and safety.
The MAS Alumni spearheaded the project as part of their commitment to serving the FEU- NRMF community. “Our healthcare workers have carried the weight of this pandemic on their shoulders. This pantry is a small way to thank them and support them during these challenging times,” shared one of the organizers.
This initiative not only eased the daily struggles of the hospital’s employees but also served as a reminder of the enduring sense of community within the institution. Despite the limitations of the pandemic, the event brought together alumni, consultants, and staff in a collective effort to uplift one another.
The activity received overwhelming appreciation from the hospital staff, with many expressing gratitude for the thoughtful gesture. The MAS Alumni plans to continue similar initiatives in the future, reinforcing the values of compassion, generosity, and unity that define the FEU-NRMF spirit.
